About Jacqui Nibbelin
My passion for photography started at a very young age in Los Angeles, shooting with a 35mm film camera photographing friends and local rock bands. My portfolio started in black and white, and my favorite shots were discovered in the dark room while taking years of photography classes. During my senior year of high school I found my first job at a professional photolab, picking up compositional skills from the professional photographers around me.
I think being a mom has helped me see photography differently. I'm always looking to tell a story or an emotion in my work. I love capturing details of a subject or that one glance that grabs your attention.
Now I’m living in Québec City, Canada ready to start a new chapter of my life. As I navigate this city as an anglophone I’m doing my best to keep up with French lessons. It’s giving me a chance to take a step back and focus on the photography that I really enjoy.
I’m here to freeze moments and make them last a lifetime. Come join me on this ride! It’ll be a blast!
